The Differences in Safety Glass
19 Aug 2015 admin 0
Fields Corner Glass is happy to provide safety glass installations & replacements for all commercial, automotive and residential properties. The different options of safety glass that Fields Corner provides are laminated and tempered glass.
The high strength laminated glass is made from two or more sheets being bonded together with a flexible interlayer. While being able to withstand much more damage or more of a beating, the inside layer helps keep the glass from shattering too much. Laminated glass is very popular for just about any door and store fronts.
Tempered glass is produced through a controlled thermal or chemical treatment. These treatments increase its strength compared to normal glass. Due to its strength and durability, some of its more popular uses are for automobile windows, shower doors, commercial building and architectural glass doors and tables. We are lucky to work directly with Karas & Karas and Cardinal for our tempered glass. Both of our providers offer the highest quality of spectacular glass that helps us push out fantastic work.
