Shower Curtain vs. Glass Shower Door
23 Jul 2015 admin 0
Many people when redesigning or building a new bathroom have to decide between a shower curtain or a shower door. Each has their own benefits so we figured we would help sift through these in order to make you as knowledgeable as possible.
- A large part of the time, it all depends on the positioning of your shower. For a stand alone walk-in shower, a shower door is almost always the recommended solution. When it comes to combination tub and showers, the answer isn’t so clear-cut.
- Curtains have a big disadvantage when it comes to appearance. Shower glass doors provide a modern, sleek, and high-class look that can transform a bathroom’s look.
- One unfortunate part of shower curtains is that they can often be left hanging out of a tub after a shower. When this happens, water drips down onto the tile, and make a mess. In the long term, this can also wear on your flooring.
- Shower curtains can become susceptible to mold. This doesn’t create a huge inconvenience if you can just wash it, but if you can’t, you have to go shopping for another curtain.
At the end of the day, we support glass shower door enclosures and their elegance and beautiful design. Not all people are the same and it may just come down to what works best with your bathroom.
